My journey through the performance world spans decades, and a profound passion drives my story for classical and contemporary music.
My formal training commenced at a respected conservatory in Connecticut, known for nurturing outstanding musicians and artists. This well-regarded institution instilled in me a rock-solid musical foundation, and under the expert guidance of seasoned mentors, I developed the technical prowess and discipline necessary to excel in classical singing.
After completing my undergraduate studies, I pursued a Master’s at the Manhattan School of Music in New York City. This experience further refined my skills and deepened my understanding of music and performance. My first visit to the Metropolitan Opera House left an indelible mark on my heart, and the level of performance in that majestic house continued to fuel my passion for the performing arts.
As the years passed, I felt an irresistible pull toward the vibrant world of musical theater, particularly on Broadway. The energy and excitement of this genre fascinated me, and I yearned to explore this new avenue of performance. My conservatory education gave me the solid musical foundation to transition seamlessly into musical theater. I adapted my vocal technique to align more with the theater genre, delved into acting classes, studied the works of legendary playwrights and musical theater composers, and embraced the challenge of blending my operatic precision with the emotional depth demanded by Broadway.
As an accomplished performer, I’ve had the privilege of gracing the stages of some of the country’s most renowned theaters, from historic venues to intimate off-Broadway playhouses. My conservatory training has been the cornerstone of my career, enabling me to breathe life into complex roles and captivate audiences with my seasoned artistry.
I’m grateful for my upbringing just outside Boston, the solid foundation provided by my conservatory education in Connecticut, and the advanced training I received at the Manhattan School of Music.
